- WHAT'S SKYRIM ABOUT? -

Notes: Research what Skyrim's about and easter eggs/references of past games.

Even though I pelted Skyrim with rotten tomatoes, it is my all-time favorite game. Just now slightly behind Stardew Valley.

Skyrim-or The Elder Scrolls V is the fifth insallment in the Elder Scrolls series made by Bethesda softworks or something. The Elder Scrolls series is known for being an open world rpg with an extensive main quest along with plentiful sidequests and adventures for your Player Character to have. The game most often starts the player off as a prisoner, and creating their own backstory for their character through classes and races.

Each game focuses on a different story, and refernece past games. Like Solestheim referencing the volcanic eruption of so and so. And other stuff.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is about the World Eater, also known as Alduin -- eldest son of Akatosh -- returning and threatening to, you know, eat the world.

Coincidentally, he is also the reason our protagonist is able to escape Helgen. Caught crossing the border, and mistaken for a Stormcloak rebel, our character is bound and taken away to be executed-alongside Ralof of Riverwood-a Stormcloak soldier, who is the first NPC who talks to our protagonist. Followed by Lokir of Rorikstead, a poor soul who was also captured crossing the border. And lastly, the jarl of Windhelm--leader of the Stormcloak rebellion -- Ulfric Stormcloack. Who shouted the previous Jarl apart with the power of the Voice.

With the exception of Lokir, everyone in the cart survives the dragon attack. For most of Helgen unfortunately, that was not the case. If a civil war brewing was not bad enough, the dragons have returned. Ralof or Hagvir, (depending on who you choose) will take you to Riverwood, a town not far from Helgen to gather supplies and get aquainted with the town before you set off to the Jarl of Whiterun to alert him of the dragons' return.

Well, that's the start of the main story. I won't go into too much detail about it, don't wanna spoil a 13 year old game.
